Dietrich Foundation Conneaut Lake Fund invites grant applications

PITTSBURGH, Dec. 21, 2020- The Pittsburgh Foundation is accepting grant applications for The Dietrich Foundation Conneaut Lake, Pa. Fund. Selection of grantees will be made by the nine-member committee of The Dietrich Foundation and awards will be announced in early summer.

To qualify for funding, proposals must be directed to cultural, educational and other charitable organizations and projects of direct benefit to Conneaut Lake. Grant proposals must be submitted online by noon on Feb. 12 at https://pittsburghfoundation.org/dietrichconneaut.

Approximately $28,250 will be available from the fund. Of that total, 30% will be designated for operations of Ice House Park. The remaining amount – about $9,300 – will be distributed through the competitive process managed by the committee. Eligible grantees must be 501(c)3 organizations that are not classified as private foundations under Section 509(a) of the Internal Revenue Service code. The Borough of Conneaut Lake also is eligible. Annual amounts available for grant awards are expected to increase in future years.

The Dietrich Foundation Conneaut Lake, Pa. Fund was established as part of an estate bequest from former steel industry executive William S. Dietrich II, who died in 2011. The fund is managed at The Pittsburgh Foundation and is advised by board members of The Dietrich Foundation.
