Small and Mighty: Community Life Enrichment Foundation

The Pittsburgh Foundation’s Small and Mighty program awarded $13,860 to Community Life Enrichment Foundation in 2021. The organization works with community leaders to deliver improvement skills to under-served communities.

Community Life Enrichment Foundation delivers social, educational, physical, spiritual and emotional improvement to under-served communities by establishing hubs in communities that provide access to resources and a space for community partnerships. The hubs established in 2019 have provided several critical resources in response to COVID-19. The grant will allow the organization to focus on increasing food access and educational support to the communities. Their food pantry program alone has grown from 25 residents per week to more than 500 per week. The organization also estimates a large growth in their education programs, which requires funds to support staff.

The Small and Mighty grants program focuses on grant seeking for small nonprofits that are meeting basic needs in our region. Since 2016, the program has awarded funding to many nonprofit organizations with budgets of less than $600,000. View all the Small and Mighty grantees.
