Turner Dairy Employee Scholarship Fund Turner Dairy was founded in 1930 by Charles G. Turner. Since Turner Dairy Farms’ founding in 1930, the company’s focus has been on setting a higher standard for quality from the farm to the bottle and remains a family-owned and managed business. Turner Dairy purchases the entire milk production of 40 family-owned farms in Western PA. In addition, Turner’s 215 employees and 40 Dairy Farmers are the sole reason that Turner Dairy not only exists but can exist to serve customers and clients at the highest of levels. Their commitment to and gratitude toward their employees is of utmost importance. The Turner family created the Turner Dairy Employee Scholarship Fund to further their commitment. The recipients of the scholarship will be employees of Turner Dairy OR a Dairy Farmer of Turner Dairy, as well as their children and grandchildren. The Turners are grateful for dedicated and compassionate employees and Dairy Farmers that not only serve the mission of Turner Dairy, but individually serve the community through giving back in a multitude of ways. Two scholarships will be awarded – one to an individual planning to attend a 2- or 4- year college or university and one to an individual planning to attend an accredited vocational or technical trade school. The Turner Dairy Employee Scholarship Fund was created at The Community Foundation of Westmoreland County to provide scholarships for employees of Turner Dairy OR a Dairy Farmer of Turner Dairy, as well as their children and grandchildren.
