Betty Lou Sundermann Memorial Scholarship Fund The Betty Lou Sundermann Memorial Scholarship Fund was established by Marie Rosiak to honor her long-time friend. Betty Lou and Marie both attended high school at Schenley High School in Pittsburgh's Hill District, but met some years later while studying at the University of Pittsburgh and became firm friends. Together, they became teachers and mentors to many young people within the Pittsburgh Public School system. Betty Lou taught for 47 years with many of those years at Robert Vann Elementary School. To celebrate and commemorate the many lives that Betty Lou touched, this scholarship will be provided to an outstanding student who exemplifies the personal and professional qualities that Betty Lou exhibited.
