Unfortunately, little is known about C.H. Snyder. The fund was established as a gift when The Snyder Foundation transferred to The Pittsburgh Foundation upon his death.
The fund gives preference to those agencies that regularly received funds from The Snyder Foundation: St. Paul's Orphans Home of Greenville, Pa.; the Laketon Heights United Methodist Episcopal Church of Penn Township; the Reformed Church of Turtle Creek; the Hill's Reformed Church of Export, Pa.; the Pennsylvania Society for Children at Edgewood; the Board of Ministerial Relief of the Reformed of the United States; the Home for the Aged of the Reformed Church of the United States in Upper Sandusky, Ohio; Trinity Reformed United Church of Christ in Wilkinsburg; Catawba College of Salisbury, N.C., United Methodist Church Epworth Fresh Air Camp, Bakerstown, Pa.
