Katie Potts (she/her) joined The Pittsburgh Foundation in March 2021 as program assistant for Program and Community Engagement. In this role, she maintains information at every stage of the grantmaking process, coordinates and implements administrative processes related to grantmaking in the Program and Community Engagement department and provides support to grantees along the way. In her work, she supports the Economic and Community Development grantmaking portfolio, as well as the Arts and Culture portfolio. Katie also works closely with the Arts and Culture team on special initiative programs.

She has nearly a decade of experience working in a variety of roles at Pittsburgh-based arts and culture nonprofit institutions. Prior to joining the Foundation, she served as the assistant to the executive director at Pittsburgh Ballet Theatre for more than four years. She holds a bachelor’s degree in global cultural studies and a minor in marketing from Point Park University.

Katie is an avid reader and believes reading books and buying books are two separate hobbies, both of which she gladly partakes in. When she’s not reading, Katie enjoys traveling, checking out the local arts scene and relaxing at home with her husband.
