Joshua Devine Economic Mobility Officer

Joshua Devine joined The Pittsburgh Foundation in October 2023 as program officer for Economic Mobility. In this role, he manages a grantmaking portfolio that enhances the nonprofit sector’s ability to identify and address barriers to employment and career advancement, affordable housing and homeownership and entrepreneurship. Most recently, Joshua was the director of racial economic equity for the National Community Reinvestment Coalition. In that role, Joshua worked to develop and expand programming and resources for industry and community partners to address racial wealth inequality and invest in scalable, wealth-building models. 

Joshua has also served as the economic opportunity strategist for Fourth Economy Consulting and worked for a regional economic development organization in southwestern Pennsylvania where he facilitated economic strategic planning efforts and connected private sector employers and local entrepreneurs to resources for growth. A capacity builder, people-first advocate and equity strategist, Joshua is passionate about community and civic engagement and building a more inclusive economy that truly serves the people. In his free time, Joshua enjoys songwriting with friends, live jazz concerts and serving the community through his local church.
