Brittany joined The Pittsburgh Foundation in May 2023 as the program assistant for Public Health, Research and Learning. She focuses on administrative management of select medical research and public health grants, including specially designated funds, while also focusing on related community led grant-making processes. She is keenly interested in elevating the voices of historically marginalized people who too often are at the fringes of the public health discussion.

Prior to her work with the Foundation, Brittany held positions in literacy advocacy, higher education administration, teaching at the university level and research lab management. She earned a Master of Arts in applied linguistics from the University of Pittsburgh, and a Bachelor of Science in biopsychology from Messiah University. Though often beset by wanderlust, Brittany has called Pittsburgh her home for more than 10 years and currently resides in Troy Hill. She is an avid cyclist, and is delighted by conversations surrounding public transit, public radio and pop culture ephemera.
