Terry Miller may be best known as the Director of the Institute of Politics at the University of Pittsburgh, who meets with CEOs, legislators and millionaires daily, but she grew up poor and hungry in Pittsburgh’s housing projects. As early as age 8, Terry collected pop cans to buy food for her diabetic mother and baby brother. In this interview, Lisa Scales, President and CEO of the Greater Pittsburgh Community Food Bank, asks Terry about resilience and recovery and her commitment to making sure no child goes to bed hungry.
