Dr. Walter Smith is legendary in the human services sector as a social worker and a champion for children and families. He currently serves as clinical director for the Allegheny County Department of Human Services. Evan Frazier is senior vice president of Community Affairs for Highmark Health and previously ran the Hill House Association. Both are African American men raising children or grandchildren in Pittsburgh and both serve on the board of The Pittsburgh Foundation. Here, Walter and Evan discuss their personal experiences of race and racism and their hopes for the next generation.
