JudgeMarkHornak stands ready to serve in Courtroom 6A of the United States District Court for the WesternDistrict of Pennsylvania. 42 JamesFultonCongressionalInternship FIRMLEGALFOOTING I N 2 0 1 6 , ThePittsburghFoundationandTheCommunity FoundationofWestmorelandCountyawarded885 scholarshipgrantstotaling$2.5million,transforminglives forwesternPennsylvaniastudentsandtheirfamilies.One suchscholarshipistheJamesFultonCongressionalInternship. Designedforhighlyqualifiedstudentswithaninterestin government,thisscholarshipwasestablishedattheFoundation in1972byCongressmanFulton,whospenthiscareer,inpart, trainingstudentstobeequippedforwork in government. That fund was later combined with the J.SteeleGowPolitical InternshipFundestablishedbyJ.SteeleGow,aFalkFoundation executivewhohadapassionforeconomicandpoliticalscience research.Combined,thesetwofundsprovidescholarships for up to two students a year to intern with Pennsylvania congressional representatives. In1977,JudgeMarkHornak receivedthescholarship,whichsethimon a career path toward lawandcommunityservice.
