Charles 'Chubby' Brown Memorial Fund

To provide a scholarship to a graduating senior of Shaler High School who shows academic excellence and intends to pursue a two or four-year program of study at a college or university in Pennsylvania.

Edward J. Ferri Memorial Scholarship Fund

Established in memory of Edward J. Ferri, this scholarship application is distributed by Mrs. Ferri to her companies.  The companies include:  Shop-n-Save, Ferri Foodland, Village Hardware & Ferri Pharmacy, all of which are in Murrysville, and the Lamplighter Restaurant in Delmont.

George and Dorothy Knedler Scholarship Fund

The Fund was established in 1995 to provide scholarships to graduating high school seniors who are dependents of full-time and part-time benefited BNY Mellon employees. George and Dorothy Knedler were long-time employees at Mellon. George was an employee for 45 years, starting as an 18-year old messenger and advanced throughout the Corporation, retiring as an assistant vice president and operations officer. He also served in the U.S. Army Air Corps in WWII and received the Air Medal and the Purple Heart. A resident of Shaler Township, George died at age 71 on December 14, 1993, eight years after retiring from Mellon.

Irene S. and Harry Louik College Scholarship Fund

Established in honor of the 90th birthday of Irene S. Louik on July 25, 2001 as well as the 65th wedding anniversary of Irene S. and Harry Louik on December 20, 2001, the Fund was created to help build future audiences for the performing arts by supporting students who plan to become involved in some way with the performing arts.

For two-year technical school scholarships at PTI to persons in need of financial assistance to begin or continue their education.

William J. Wolf Memorial Scholarship Fund

Scholarship created by a bequest from William J. Wolf, founder and president of General Cleaning Company. Although Mr. Wolf completed high school, he did not have the means to attend college, which he regretted. Through the establishment of this fund, he is able to give back in perpetuity to the Pittsburgh community that he and his wife, Elizabeth, loved, and to the Lutheran religion which they supported during their lifetimes. This scholarship is to assist with the college or graduate level education of students of Lutheran denomination.
