Organizations, employers and individuals are encouraged to participate in UPMC’s challenge grant by pledging their support to The Pittsburgh Promise.  UPMC will match community donations up to $90 million.  UPMC will donate $1.00 for every $1.50 that is contributed to The Pittsburgh Promise Fund.

As of January 1, 1994, the Internal Revenue Service requires contemporaneous written receipt for all gifts of $250 or more.
The letter you will receive from The Pittsburgh Foundation is your IRS acceptable receipt and will serve as a confirmation that you have received no goods or service from us in exchange for your gift. Please save as proof of your charitable gift.
Canceled checks no longer constitute sufficient documentation to support a charitable tax deduction.
