Ashley is responsible for the oversight and management of the core operations of the Foundation, including the grant, scholarship and funds management teams at the Foundation. She works closely with all departments of the organization to ensure the timely, accurate and legal creation of new funds, their ongoing operation and grants. In more detail, she oversees execution of grants and funds management processes to ensure appropriate review, approval, accuracy and timeliness; monitors compliance with internal policies and external regulations; assesses and advocates for fund interests to ensure that proper execution of donor intent is achieved within the construct of the law; ensures accuracy on all grant reporting; and evaluates the integrity of fund and grants-related data and systems to make recommendations for improvement, including new and evolving technologies.
Prior to joining our staff in 2016, she worked for the U.S. Embassy in Stockholm, Sweden, in various project and finance management roles. She earned her master’s in public and nonprofit management from the University of Pittsburgh’s Graduate School of Public and International Affairs and a bachelor’s in business management from Belmont University. In her free time, she frequents the city’s many playgrounds and parks with her husband and three children and aspires to grow a green thumb one of these days.
