Howard B. Slaughter Jr., D.Sc.

Dr. Howard B. Slaughter Jr., D.Sc., is president and CEO of Habitat for Humanity of Greater Pittsburgh, where he draws on his extensive background in community, economic development and housing experience. He previously served as president and CEO of Christian Management Enterprises LLC, a management firm specializing in strategic solutions, project management, small business and real estate development. He received a gubernatorial appointment to the board of the Pennsylvania Economic Development Financing Authority, and also served as the first president and CEO of Landmarks Community Capital Corp. Slaughter was also the first regional director of Fannie Mae's southwestern Pennsylvania business office and managed a $2 billion housing plan. He led Dollar Bank to its first-ever "Outstanding" rating from the Office of Thrift Supervision during his tenure as vice president of community development. He has received numerous local, regional and national awards for his charitable and community work.
