Dietrich Foundation Conneaut Fund invites grant applications

PITTSBURGH, Pa., Jan. 12, 2015 -- The Pittsburgh Foundation announces that it is accepting grant applications for The Dietrich Foundation Conneaut Lake, Pa. Fund.  Grants must be submitted by February 6, 2015. Selection of grantees will be made by a committee by March 15, 2015 and the announcement of the grant winners will be made in April 2015.

Approximately $2,397, an increase from last year’s $900, will be available from the Fund (30% of which is designated for the Ice House Park).  The remaining amount will be distributed through a competitive grant making process and selected by a committee.  Eligible grantees must be 501 c 3 organizations that are not classified as private foundations under Section 509(a), including the Borough of Conneaut Lake, PA.  It is expected that the annual amounts available for distribution will continue to increase in the years to come.

The grants will be used to support cultural, educational and other charitable organizations and projects in the Borough of Conneaut Lake, Pennsylvania.  Grant applications may be submitted online and the deadline for application is February 6, 2015.  Additional information on how to apply is available at http://pittsburghfoundation.org/dietrichconneautlake.

The Fund was established by former steel industry executive, the late William S. Dietrich II in 2011 as part of a bequest from his estate.  The Fund is held at The Pittsburgh Foundation and advised by the Dietrich Foundation.
