Kenneth Seaver Fund

Established: 4/6/1969

Kenneth was a longtime resident of Oakmont. He passed away on Jan. 15, 1969.

In the later part of his life, he took an interest in Dark Hollow Wood, a 50-acre woodland located within the Borough of Oakmont. Kenneth was instrumental in securing the land, which was deeded to the Borough as a nature park. While the Borough is responsible for the maintenance and policing of the park, The Oakmont Garden Club continues to serve as an advisor to the Borough with respect to the park's development and any improvements.

Kenneth's interest may be related to the fact that his daughter, Mary Hewitt, was very involved with The Oakmont Garden Club as President at that time says Christine Little, current President of The Oakmont Garden Club.
