Pittsburgh Foundation scholarships focus on both academic ability and financial need. Some are designated for students associated with a particular high school, college, business or organization. Others focus on a specific activity or course of study -- and run the gamut from athletics to religious studies, community service, adult education, agriculture, archeology, speech therapy and law enforcement.

Since 1948, the Foundation has awarded over $15.5 million in funding to help students further their education. In 2006 alone, 477 scholarships were awarded, and a total of $1.6 million disbursed to students.
