Pittsburgh Foundation donors are invited to a private cocktail reception presented with the Gettysburg Foundation about Pittsburgh-area connections to the Civil War.

Experts from the Gettysburg Foundation will lead our discussion in this museum-grade, climate controlled archive, where we’ll travel back in time for a glimpse of Civil War-era life. The Captain Thomas Espy Post No. 153 is a treasure-trove of artifacts and books that the Pittsburgh Post-Gazette calls “one of the richest and most intact among the remaining half-dozen Grand Army of the Republic veterans posts in the nation.”

The Gettysburg Foundation operates Gettysburg National Military Park, which is considered the nation’s premier Civil War historic site.
