February 8, 2010 <<  Back to View Name of Scholarship: Pittsburgh Advertising Federation Scholarship Fund Description: The Pittsburgh Advertising Federation Scholarship Fund was created to build stronger ties between the Pittsburgh advertising community and college and university level students entering the advertising field. The motivation for the scholarship is to inspire and reward outstanding candidates who have demonstrated potential success in the field and to bring cultural diversity to the Pittsburgh advertising industry. Eligibility: Reside in Southwestern Pennsylvania and attend (junior or senior level) one of the approved Pennsylvania higher education institutions (list can be obtained by calling The Pittsburgh Foundation) Maintain a 3.0 QPA Demonstrate an academic interest or creative talent in fields of study relevant to a career in advertising (studies might include, but are not limited to, advertising, art, business, communications, graphic design, marketing, public relations and writing) How to Apply: Submit an original letter of academic recommendation, to be sent under separate cover, from a faculty member familiar with your abilities Provide a current resume as it would be presented to an employer Compose a brief essay, written as a letter, explaining what qualities you possess that would qualify you for the scholarship Provide an official transcript of your academic record and grades, including the last semester Annual Number of Scholarships: Varies Contact: Deborah Turner, The Pittsburgh Foundation, turnerd@pghfdn.org, 412-394-2649; E-mail is preferred Scholarship Application download application/guidelines and follow instructions to apply Pittsburgh Ad Federation Application and Guidelines <<  Back to View
