PITTSBURGH, Oct. 12, 2018 – The city will be at the epicenter of one of America's most timely, important discussions when Duquesne University and The Pittsburgh Foundation – in cooperation with the National Constitution Center – host the "National Conference on the First Amendment: Bedrock of American Freedom." The two-day conference will be held on Oct. 21-22 on the Duquesne campus.
Save the Children has deployed an Emergency Response Team to help children and families in the Florida Panhandle affected by Hurricane Michael. The organization is providing child-focused emergency supplies and working with national and state partners to assess children’s immediate needs.
PITTSBURGH, Pa., Aug. 30, 2018 – To stimulate innovative collaboration among young scientific researchers and later-career investigators, The Board of the Charles E. Kaufman Foundation, a supporting organization of The Pittsburgh Foundation, has awarded 10 scientific research grants totaling $1.9 million.
